Barcelona, 12th December 2024 – GLS Spain is reaffirming its commitment to social causes by becoming the official sponsor of this year’s La Marató de 3Cat, which focuses on raising awareness and supporting research into respiratory diseases. As part of this collaboration, GLS Spain will lend its name to one of the teams participating in the iconic ‘Partit dels Famosos’ [Celebrity Match], which is making a return after ten years.

The event will be held on 15th December at 12 noon at the Estadi Olímpic in Terrassa and is being organised by Terrassa FC. The match will bring together artists, athletes, journalists, and public figures for a day of sport, entertainment and solidarity. Notable participants will include members of the groups The Tyets, Els Catarres, and La Pegatina; actors such as Aina Clotet and Àlex Monner; journalists such as Natàlia Arroyo and Maria Fernández Vidal, and influencers Gerard Romero and Celia España.

The event will be broadcast live on Esport3 and will feature in a special 15-hour programme dedicated to La Marató on TV3. Tickets are available at a symbolic price of €3 via the Entrapolis platform, and all proceeds will be added to contributions from sponsors and individuals.

Sport is a powerful way to convey values and create a positive impact. At GLS Spain, we are proud to support an event that has such a significant social impact as La Marató de 3Cat, which this year will help fundraise for and raise awareness about the importance of respiratory health”, stated Félix Biedma, Senior ESG Manager at GLS Spain.

Through this sponsorship, GLS Spain reaffirms its commitment to social well-being and invites everyone to join the cause. Donations are already being accepted for this year’s La Marató and can be made via the channels listed at this link: https://www.3cat.cat/tv3/marato/es/donatiu/
